Sydney Opera House is a multi venue performing arts center in Sydney Australia. Located on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour, it is widely regarded as one of the world’s most famous and distinctive buildings as well as a masterpiece of 20th century architecture. Designed by a Danish architect Jorn Utzon, the building was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on October 20th, 1973. This amazing building features a modern expressionist design and covers 4.4 acres of land. The Sydney Opera House was a finalist in The New Seven Wonders of the World List.
A Masterpiece of Antoni Gaudi
La Sagrada Familia
La Sagrada Familia is one of celebrated architect’s Antonio Gaudi’s most famous works in Barcelona Spain. It is a giant Basilica that has been under construction since 1882 and is not expected to be completed for some time. La Sagrada Familia is the largest unfinished Catholic church in the world. It is said that Antonio Gaudi wanted to create a perfect temple that presents the life of Jesus and the history of faith. The 18 towers are dedicated to important biblical figures, and this is reflected in their size: 12 of them represent the apostles, 4 the evangelists, one the Virgin Mary, and the highest of them all represents Jesus Christ, which will be topped by a cross reaching a height of 564 feet.
